It aims to educate students in the process of digitally capturing a physical space, site or physical object using drones, laser scanning and photogrammetry and using the resultant images to create virtual models or 3D printed replicas. The suite of modules have been designed to allow students a practical, hands-on approach to complete a ‘Scan to BIM’ process. Using captured 3D scan data, a 3D model will be generated for use in varied applications.
