Programme Overview

Students on this course will be given hands on training in the area of visualisation and simulation for the AEC sector and associated creative disciplines. Students will be involved in the development of realistic animations, walkthroughs and flyovers suitable for marketing, tendering and communication through Virtual reality as well as the creation of simulations using software such as Navisworks. Training in the application of a Visual Programming Language (VPL) such as Dynamo and Power BI also forms part of the certificate.

Entry Requirements

Applications will be considered from level 8 honours graduates in construction or associated disciplines. Graduates who hold Level 7 qualifications in related disciplines and with relevant industrial experience will be considered for places on a case-by-case basis. Candidates that do not meet the above criteria may be eligible for admission to the programme through the RPL (Recognized Prior Learning) route. (considered on an individual basis in accordance with the Institute’s policy on RPL).
