Sustainable Resources – Green Building

DASBE partner Technological University of the Shannon has launched a new Postgraduate Diploma in the Decarbonisation of the Built Environment

Ireland’s commitment to halving emissions by 2030 and achieving net-zero by 2050 demands rapid, meaningful action—particularly in the built environment, which accounts for over 35% of our energy-related emissions.

The aim of the Post Graduate Diploma in Science in the Decarbonisation of the Built Environment programme is to up-skill building professionals to develop knowledge and skills that allow them to plan, deliver and manage high quality, sustainable developments, with emphasis on decarbonising the built environment for medium to large sites, districts and community collectives. This will place the learners in a position to contribute to meeting Ireland’s climate action and energy targets in relation to the decarbonisation of the built environment.

DASBE funding support is available for September 2025. Apply here
