Construction Project Management

This online programme is designed to give learners a solid grounding in the field of project management as applied to the construction sector. The programme is aimed at supervisors and managers in the sector and follows the body of knowledge developed by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Building Information Modelling (BIM) with Revit Architecture

Students will study an overview of Revit Architecture and Building Information Modelling (BIM); User Interface, Views and Revit Project Setup; Elements and Element Properties; Creating and Editing Families; Detailing & Annotation; Schedules, Quantities and Tags; Shading; Rendering and Animation.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) with Revit MEP

Students will study an overview of Revit MEP and Building Information Modelling (BIM); MEP Views, View Templating, Graphic Overrides; Revit plumbing systems, duct systems, cable tray systems; Electrical Systems in Revit, including switching systems, lighting systems and power systems.  Mechanical and Electrical scheduling systems and material take-offs.

B.Sc. in Built Environment (Common Entry Year)

This programme is offered on the CAO, and is a one year common entry programme to the four honours degree programmes in the Built Environment.  This programme can be useful for those in the industry, but can also be viewed as a progressional step to enable students to progress to alternative programmes as developed within or promoted by DASBE.

Certificate in Near Zero Energy Building (nZEB)

Built environment

This programme is to provide students with an introduction to sustainable building design and in particular approaches required to achieve Near Zero Energy Building (NZEB) standards by addressing building fabric, air tightness and ventilation and integration of renewable energy systems. The programme focuses specifically on the residential sector.
