The Digital Academy for Sustainable Built Environment (DASBE) and the Build Digital Project, share the objectives of encouraging the implementation of digital information management and Building Information Modelling (BIM) across the public and private sectors, and supporting improved digital adoption and innovation in the sectors which design, deliver, and manage the built environment.

As the construction sector continues to move towards becoming digitised, the management of digital data and information within the built environment is seen as a key mechanism to deliver social, economic, and climate resilient efficiencies during construction, operational, retrofit and disposal stages of property and assets. The parties to this Memorandum support this ambition and the need to drive this digital adoption through education and training.

The main intentions of this Memorandum are to:

  1. Foster bilateral cooperation between the Parties through sharing of knowledge on their respective digital information management and Building Information Modelling (BIM) programmes.
  2. Assist the parties to mutually accelerate their journeys towards their respective objectives.
  3. Identify opportunities for collaborative working, including the sharing of practical knowledge, outputs, and delivery of resources.

DASBE Manager Lis O’ Brien said “DASBE is delighted to be collaborating with the Build Digital Project. We’re looking forward to helping the construction industry progress with all things digital and sustainable“.
