Minister Hildegarde Naughton was in ATU Galway campus today (19/02/2024)to officially open the Unitherm Heating Systems training facility. An excellent example of cooperation with the Technological University bridging a skills gap in decarbonisation.

ATU’s first cohort of students graduated with their CPD Certificates in Heat Pump Installation, Commissioning, Maintenance and Servicing on Friday February 16th, while another cohort were doing their practical training in Unitherm’s Training Academy. The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering would like to congratulate all the programme graduates and would like to specifically thank John Scahill, Jimmy Fahy, and all in the Digital Academy for the Sustainable Built Environment (DASBE) for their willingness to co fund the programme.”
