The Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage (DHLGH) are due to publish a Guidance Retrofitting Report on improving energy efficiency in traditional buildings, which will provide competent professionals with the basis to specify materials for the renovation and energy upgrade of traditional buildings.

In addition to this guidance, the DASBE funded Level 8 Energy Renovation of Traditional Buildings programme will highlight the need for professionals to understand the construction of traditional buildings, how to identify and repair building defects and how to advise on appropriate energy upgrade measures for traditional buildings.

Applications are still open and this year’s programme will be starting shortly. More info and apply here

DASBE looks forward to the publication of the full report.
